WOLTRONIC Sensor Module

The WOLTRONIC SNM is a 'sensor network module' that can be used to optimally monitor the traction power supply and other parts of the railway infrastructure. The WOLTRONIC SNM continuously records various physical parameters that are essential for increasing the reliability and safety of the railway system. The modules are installed on the overhead line every 500 - 1000 metres.

Each module is equipped with sensors for data acquisition, measurement technology, data transmission and power management. By locating the individual modules, repairsand countermeasures can be carried out with pinpoint accuracy to maximise the availability of railway operations.

In addition to communication between modules, each module also communicates with the local LTE network for real-time data collection and analysis.

Depending on the type, the WOLTRONIC SNM AC can be operated with high voltage alternating current and the WOLTRONIC SNM DC with high voltage direct current.
